Beginner success with Rubber Plant — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Rubber Plant. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to wiping dusty leaves with a damp cloth to improve light absorption.

I grow mine in a grouped arrangement for a humidity-raising effect which is working really well. air-purifying properties in enclosed indoor spaces was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. summer growth needing more frequent watering and feeding has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring overwatering causing yellowing leaves and root rot, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
