Gift that became an obsession — Snake Plant

Someone gave me Snake Plant as a birthday gift and I barely knew what it was. Two years later it's my most treasured plant and I've spent more time researching it than I'd care to admit.

I keep it in an office desk with a grow light supplement which works perfectly. slowing down in autumn as light levels drop is when I understand why this plant has such devoted followers. fungus gnats in consistently damp potting compost is the one ongoing challenge but it's worth the effort.
