Beginner success with Spider Plant — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Spider Plant. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to repotting only when roots are visibly emerging from the drainage holes.

I grow mine in an office desk with a grow light supplement which is working really well. year-round green presence improving mood and productivity was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. summer growth needing more frequent watering and feeding has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring brown leaf tips from low humidity or fluoride in tap water, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
