Overrated for ease, underrated for beauty — Spider Plant

People describe Spider Plant as easy and I'd push back on that slightly. wiping dusty leaves with a damp cloth to improve light absorption needs consistent attention and overwatering causing yellowing leaves and root rot can undermine progress quickly if ignored.

Where Spider Plant is genuinely underrated is the beauty. straightforward propagation by division, cuttings, or offsets is extraordinary when you see it in person. I display it in a hanging planter for trailing varieties and it gets comments from everyone who sees it. summer growth needing more frequent watering and feeding is the time to really understand what this plant offers. Not for the truly neglectful gardener, but absolutely worth the attention it requires.
