I nearly gave up on Cymbidium after three months of mediocre results. Then I focused properly on repotting into fresh bark medium every two or three years and within a few weeks the difference was dramatic.

It now lives in a conservatory shelf with filtered light and has genuinely transformed that spot. wide hybridisation resulting in an almost unlimited colour range is even more impressive in person than I expected from photos. rest period in summer with focus on leaf and root growth was spectacular — worth every bit of patience. If you're struggling with yours, repotting into fresh bark medium every two or three years is almost certainly the issue.
