As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Miltoniopsis. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to feeding with a half-strength orchid fertiliser weekly in summer.

I grow mine in a north or east-facing windowsill which is working really well. extraordinary bloom longevity lasting weeks to months was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. peak bloom display through winter and spring has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring aerial root desiccation in dry centrally heated rooms, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
