Slow start but a stunning finish with Phalaenopsis
The first few months with Phalaenopsis were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting providing bright indirect light away from direct afternoon sun right was the turning point.
spectacular flower forms that rival almost any plant became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a grouping with other tropical plants for humidity it gets the attention it deserves. rest period in summer with focus on leaf and root growth was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: crown rot from water sitting in the leaf crown. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
