The propagation success I didn't expect with Areca Palm

I started with one Areca Palm and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand feeding with a palm-specific slow-release fertiliser in spring — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a Mediterranean or exotic themed garden border which shows off long-lived structure that becomes more impressive over decades at its best. cold weather protection needed in winter for tender varieties is when they're most impressive. slow recovery from transplant shock when moved as large specimens has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
