Started Areca Palm at the wrong time — lessons learned
I planted Areca Palm at entirely the wrong point in the growing calendar and spent the first few months wondering what I'd done wrong. red palm weevil damage in warmer European regions didn't help matters. Once I understood avoiding cutting healthy green fronds as this stresses the plant things improved substantially.

In a warm conservatory or bright atrium it finally looks as good as I'd imagined. best planting and repotting in late spring as soil warms redeemed the whole effort.
