Slow start but a stunning finish with Queen Palm

The first few months with Queen Palm were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting planting in free-draining soil to prevent crown rot right was the turning point.

remarkable toughness once properly established became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a warm conservatory or bright atrium it gets the attention it deserves. new frond production visible in spring and early summer was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: root bound decline in pots left too long without repotting. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
