The propagation success I didn't expect with Black Baccara
I started with one Black Baccara and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand deadheading spent blooms to encourage reblooming — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a dedicated rose bed with good air circulation which shows off exceptional fragrance on warm afternoons at its best. peak flowering through midsummer is when they're most impressive. aphid infestations on new growth has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
