I don't have a garden so a large terracotta pot on a sunny patio is my only option for Peace. It absolutely works — with the right attention to pruning to an outward-facing bud at a 45-degree angle you can get excellent results in containers.

repeat-flowering over a long season is fully achievable even in a pot. hips forming in autumn for wildlife interest is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: powdery mildew in humid summers. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
