I've been growing Azalea for a full year now and want to capture what each season offered. summer flowering on the current season's growth was the clear high point — everything you're told about Azalea at that time of year is true. But the plant has something to offer in every season, which I hadn't expected.

wide range from ground-covering species to large specimens is consistent throughout the year, which is one of its real strengths. I've settled on a low-maintenance foundation planting around a house as the ideal position. mulching around the base annually to feed and retain moisture was the lesson I took into next year. box blight and box moth caterpillar on Buxus species is the only thing that interrupted the enjoyment. Otherwise: excellent.
