Container growing Boxwood — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a mixed shrub border providing year-round structure is my only option for Boxwood. It absolutely works — with the right attention to watering in dry spells in the first two seasons after planting you can get excellent results in containers.
generally low maintenance once established is fully achievable even in a pot. autumn berries and foliage colour is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: box blight and box moth caterpillar on Buxus species. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
