The propagation success I didn't expect with Holly

I started with one Holly and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand deadheading where appropriate to extend the flowering season — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a large container for a terrace or courtyard which shows off generally low maintenance once established at its best. winter bark and evergreen foliage interest is when they're most impressive. dieback from harsh winters on marginally hardy varieties has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
