Ghost Plant is a genuinely satisfying plant to grow, but I want to be upfront about one thing: mealybug infestations in leaf crevices. I've dealt with it twice now and it takes consistent attention to manage.

Beyond that, water-storing fleshy leaves in geometric rosettes makes it one of my favourites in the collection. I keep it in a fairy garden or miniature landscape which suits it well. Learning about providing at least six hours of bright indirect light has been essential. new offsets appearing around the base in spring is worth waiting for — the plant really justifies itself then. Four stars because of that persistent issue.
