Overrated for ease, underrated for beauty — Haworthia

People describe Haworthia as easy and I'd push back on that slightly. providing at least six hours of bright indirect light needs consistent attention and mealybug infestations in leaf crevices can undermine progress quickly if ignored.

Where Haworthia is genuinely underrated is the beauty. extremely low maintenance between waterings is extraordinary when you see it in person. I display it in a shallow dish garden arrangement and it gets comments from everyone who sees it. vivid stress colouring in full summer sun is the time to really understand what this plant offers. Not for the truly neglectful gardener, but absolutely worth the attention it requires.
