Started Panda Plant at the wrong time — lessons learned
I planted Panda Plant at entirely the wrong point in the growing calendar and spent the first few months wondering what I'd done wrong. etiolation from insufficient light didn't help matters. Once I understood watering only when the soil is completely dry things improved substantially.
water-storing fleshy leaves in geometric rosettes is what makes this plant worth persisting with. In a fairy garden or miniature landscape it finally looks as good as I'd imagined. new offsets appearing around the base in spring redeemed the whole effort. If you're starting out: do your timing research before you plant.
