Container growing String of Pearls — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a sunny windowsill in a terracotta pot is my only option for String of Pearls. It absolutely works — with the right attention to avoiding water on the rosette centre to prevent rot you can get excellent results in containers.
wide range of colours from blue-grey to red is fully achievable even in a pot. new offsets appearing around the base in spring is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: mealybug infestations in leaf crevices. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
