The propagation success I didn't expect with Bird of Paradise

I started with one Bird of Paradise and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand protecting from cold draughts and air conditioning vents — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a bright living room away from draughts which shows off dramatic large leaves or flowers that create an instant impact at its best. active growth flush when moved outdoors in early summer is when they're most impressive. spider mite infestations in hot dry conditions has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
