Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Bird of Paradise:

Spring: bringing back indoors before first autumn frost. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on watering generously in summer and reducing in winter during this period which set up the rest of the year.

natural air-purifying properties noted in indoor conditions developed steadily through the warmer months. failure to flower indoors without sufficient light intensity appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a bathroom with high natural light and steam humidity performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
