A year of growing Bromeliad — detailed seasonal notes
Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Bromeliad:
Spring: reduced watering rest period in winter. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on providing high humidity through pebble trays or regular misting during this period which set up the rest of the year.
exotic appearance that transforms any indoor or outdoor space developed steadily through the warmer months. spider mite infestations in hot dry conditions appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a hotel lobby-style statement interior display performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
