Beginner success with Monstera Deliciosa — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Monstera Deliciosa. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to watering generously in summer and reducing in winter.

I grow mine in a bright living room away from draughts which is working really well. fast growth in warm humid conditions was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. flowering period in peak summer heat has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring yellowing leaves from overwatering or cold root temperatures, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
