I don't have a garden so a raised bed in full sun with good-quality compost is my only option for Bell Pepper. It absolutely works — with the right attention to thinning seedlings to give each plant adequate space you can get excellent results in containers.

satisfaction of harvesting food you grew yourself is fully achievable even in a pot. sowing under cover from late winter for early crops is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: slug and snail damage on young seedlings. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
