Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Carrot
After growing Carrot for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: rotating crops each year to prevent soil-borne disease build-up is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: slug and snail damage on young seedlings will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a grow bag on a paved patio or balcony genuinely matters — the right position unlocks far superior flavour versus supermarket produce in a way a poor position never will. clearing beds and preparing soil with compost in autumn is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
