Beginner success with Spinach — here is what helped
As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Spinach. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to thinning seedlings to give each plant adequate space.
I grow mine in an allotment plot with companion planting which is working really well. full control over growing methods and chemical use was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. planting out and establishing after last frost has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring aphid colonies on brassicas and soft growth, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
