I nearly gave up on Meadow Sage after three months of mediocre results. Then I focused properly on allowing plants to set seed before cutting at the end of season and within a few weeks the difference was dramatic.

It now lives in a wildlife pond margin planting and has genuinely transformed that spot. exceptional wildlife value for bees, butterflies, and hoverflies is even more impressive in person than I expected from photos. early spring bulbs and annual seedling germination was spectacular — worth every bit of patience. If you're struggling with yours, allowing plants to set seed before cutting at the end of season is almost certainly the issue.
