Tried Basketball expecting one thing, found something completely different

I signed up for Basketball expecting a straightforward fitness class. What I found was a technical discipline that demands real skill development. The crossover dribble I was shown in week one is still something I'm refining now, 12 months later. IQ vs. athleticism gave me a framework for understanding why things work, not just what to do.

the pick and roll clicking in a real game was the surprise that hooked me. cliquey pickup game culture at busy courts was the reality check that made me respect the sport. The mouthguard is worth the investment — don't cut corners. I came for fitness and found a practice. That's a much better outcome.
