Overrated for fitness, underrated for everything else
Purely as a fitness tool, Bodybuilding is good but not exceptional. There are more efficient ways to get fit. Where Bodybuilding is genuinely underrated is everything else: the drop sets problem-solving, the symmetry and proportion depth, stepping on stage for the first time. These aren't fitness outcomes — they're life outcomes.
the physical and mental brutality of peak week is the honest downside that the fitness crowd often glosses over. If you're coming for abs and cardio, you'll get decent results but maybe not optimal ones. If you're coming for something that changes how you think and move and manage stress, Bodybuilding is exceptional value.
