I'd been training Cycling for two years when I picked up an injury that kept me out for four months. Coming back was harder mentally than physically. My descending technique had regressed and FTP I'd taken for granted needed rebuilding.

the freedom of long endurance rides was what brought me back to myself — about six weeks into the comeback. expensive initial gear investment was a greater factor in the comeback phase than it had been before injury. I'm now back to pre-injury level and training smarter. The sport is more rewarding now than it was before, because I know what it feels like to miss it.
