Overrated for fitness, underrated for everything else
Purely as a fitness tool, Kickboxing is good but not exceptional. There are more efficient ways to get fit. Where Kickboxing is genuinely underrated is everything else: the switch kick problem-solving, the setting up kicks with punches depth, how kicks extend your reach and change fight dynamics. These aren't fitness outcomes — they're life outcomes.
timing kicks within combinations is the honest downside that the fitness crowd often glosses over. If you're coming for abs and cardio, you'll get decent results but maybe not optimal ones. If you're coming for something that changes how you think and move and manage stress, Kickboxing is exceptional value.
