Freshwater angelfish are graceful cichlids native to the Amazon basin, prized for their distinctive tall, triangular profile and sweeping finnage. They make a stunning display fish for aquariums of 30 gallons or more, but their semi-aggressive cichlid temperament means they may eat very small tank mates such as neon tetras as they grow.
