Competent, reliable, comfortable. But 'competent' isn't what you want when spending this much. A few hard plastic panels at this price point, engine note is unpleasant when pushed. Test the competition before committing.

I've owned many cars and the 2023 BYD Dolphin is comfortably the best. Interior feels genuinely premium, the powertrain is whisper-quiet, and the tech works intuitively. Minor gripe is wind noise at motorway speeds but that's it.

Cannot recommend. Transmission issue, electrical fault that stranded me, engine light the dealer cannot diagnose. Every visit takes a week. I had high expectations. Avoid.
