Not what I expected
Reliability has been below the brand's reputation. Two dealer visits in the first year for issues that shouldn't exist on a new car. Interior quality also doesn't match the asking price.

The 2023 MINI Countryman. The Mini grown up — a practical compact SUV that retains the brand's characterful personality.
Reliability has been below the brand's reputation. Two dealer visits in the first year for issues that shouldn't exist on a new car. Interior quality also doesn't match the asking price.
Read full review →Factory fit-and-finish issues: door seal whistles at speed, dashboard rattle took three dealer visits to fix, paint imperfection on boot lid. Disappointing for this price. Car should have been right first time.
Read full review →I've owned many cars and the 2023 MINI Countryman is comfortably the best. Interior feels genuinely premium, ride is smooth, infotainment actually works. My only gripe is wind noise at motorway speeds — minor on an otherwise outstanding vehicle.
Read full review →Nervous buying without testing more alternatives but after 18 months: not a single unplanned shop visit. Safety features have intervened twice on the motorway. Comfortable on long journeys, easy to park. Everything you want.
Read full review →Excited at purchase, reality more subdued. Positives: generous space, good fuel economy. Negatives: touchscreen freezes, rear wiper smears, lane-keeping too aggressive. Not bad but needs polish.
Read full review →Just had my 2023 MINI Countryman valued after three years — depreciation far lower than I budgeted. Trouble-free ownership. A genuinely smart long-term buy.
Read full review →Solid car that does its job without exciting me. Ride comfortable, easy to drive, safety features work well. Interior materials feel a step below the price point, engine noisy when pushed. Reliable but not class-leading.
Read full review →Excellent car overall. Strong points: ride quality, interior space, standard safety tech. Weak points: fiddly touchscreen, thick rear quarter pillar blind spot. Neither a dealbreaker. Would buy again.
Read full review →Spent more than budget allowed but the 2023 MINI Countryman justified every dollar. Cruising at highway speeds is serene, seats are supportive over distance, tech is useful rather than gimmicky. Running costs lower than expected.
Read full review →Sceptical when I ordered — playing it safe rather than exciting myself. A year in, genuinely impressed. More refined than expected, seats comfortable on long trips, nothing unexpected has gone wrong.
