Mixed experience in Poland — beautiful but overhyped
Poland is undeniably beautiful. Auschwitz-Birkenau and the area around Gdańsk have a visual quality that photographs don't capture fully. I enjoyed żurek and appreciated beautiful old towns. That's all real.

Good country, exhausting tourist industry
Poland is a genuinely beautiful and interesting place. Old Town Warsaw is worth every superlative thrown at it. The Polish craft beer is legitimately excellent. beautiful old towns gave the trip real depth.

Weekend in Warsaw, Poland — more than I expected from a short trip
Only had a long weekend — about 16 days — in Poland, based in Warsaw. More than enough to fall for the place. Did Malbork Castle on day one and spent the rest of the time just walking and eating. The bigos situation here is no joke — some of the best eating I've done anywhere.
