Harissa as comfort food — exactly what I needed
Some dishes exist to comfort and Harissa is absolutely in that category. The subtly tangy quality works on something almost primal — you feel the warmth of it immediately. pomegranate does work that no substitute can replicate.

Underwhelming Harissa — expected more
I was looking forward to Harissa here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The subtly tangy character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with madzoon yoghurt or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.
