Honest verdict on Samosa — good but not exceptional
Samosa here was solidly made — rich and complex without anything to complain about. yogurt marinade was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Cultural discovery through Samosa
Samosa opened a door into a cuisine I'd previously known almost nothing about. The rich and complex flavours are unlike anything in my usual rotation and I mean that positively. Samosa as comfort food — exactly what I needed
Some dishes exist to comfort and Samosa is absolutely in that category. The deeply layered quality works on something almost primal — you feel the warmth of it immediately. tamarind does work that no substitute can replicate.

Comparing Samosa across three restaurants — an honest verdict
I ate Samosa at three different restaurants in the same week to compare. The results were illuminating. The use of yogurt marinade varied significantly — only one got it right. The deeply layered profile should be consistent but interpretation differs widely.

Street food Samosa — the authentic version
The best Samosa I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The warmly spiced and aromatic intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. yogurt marinade was used without hesitation, the way it should be.

Ingredient appreciation — what makes Samosa special
What sets Samosa apart is the handling of ghee. In lesser versions this is treated as a background note. Here it's central and the tangy and vibrant result shows it. I've started buying it to cook with at home after this experience.

First time trying Samosa — completely converted
I had never tried Samosa before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The deeply layered taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. fenugreek leaves is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.
