Pepper Soup exceeded every expectation
I went in with low expectations — I'd had mediocre versions before. What I found was Pepper Soup made with real commitment to ogiri fermented seeds and technique. The rich and earthy from palm oil result was more complex and satisfying than anything I'd had before.

Honest verdict on Pepper Soup — good but not exceptional
Pepper Soup here was solidly made — spicy and bold without anything to complain about. palm oil was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Ingredient appreciation — what makes Pepper Soup special
What sets Pepper Soup apart is the handling of palm oil. In lesser versions this is treated as a background note. Here it's central and the rich and earthy from palm oil result shows it. I've started buying it to cook with at home after this experience.

Best Pepper Soup I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten Pepper Soup at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The deeply umami from fermented ingredients quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. ogiri fermented seeds is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.
