Can't believe I waited this long to watch it

Everyone told me to watch Leon: The Professional for years. Finally did and instantly understood why. the unlikely bond at the film's core is immediately apparent. Now I'm recommending it just as loudly to everyone else.

The ending absolutely floored me

Leon: The Professional builds so carefully to its conclusion that when it arrives you feel genuinely moved. The found family thread pays off in a way that's earned rather than manipulative. Couldn't sleep afterward.

Changed how I think about found family

I didn't expect Leon: The Professional to affect me so deeply. The way Luc Besson handles the assassin with a soul is unlike anything I'd seen before. I came out of it looking at the world differently.

Not my genre but it completely won me over

I usually avoid this kind of film but gave Leon: The Professional a chance after constant recommendations. Completely converted. Luc Besson transcends genre entirely. It works as pure human drama first and everything else second.

Overrated but still very good

Leon: The Professional has been praised so heavily that no film could live up to the hype completely. It's an excellent film — the unlikely bond at the film's core is genuinely remarkable — but it's not the untouchable masterpiece some claim.

Leon: The Professional ended and I sat with it for weeks. The innocence in a violent world theme kept circling back. I'd be doing something mundane and the milk-drinking hitman would pop into my head. That kind of resonance is rare.

One of the greatest films ever made

I've seen Leon: The Professional multiple times now and it just keeps getting better. Jean Reno's gentle giant is something rarely matched in cinema. If you haven't watched it yet, clear your evening.

A film that demands your full attention

Leon: The Professional is not background viewing. Every scene requires you. Put your phone down, dim the lights. Luc Besson is doing too much to be half-watched. Give it the attention it deserves.
