The Matrix (1999)

I didn't expect The Matrix to affect me so deeply. The way The Wachowskis handles simulation and reality is unlike anything I'd seen before. I came out of it looking at the world differently.

I went into The Matrix knowing nothing — no trailer, no plot summary. I strongly recommend that approach. The simulation and reality hits much harder when you haven't been primed for it. Go in cold.
