The score elevates every scene

The music in The Truman Show is so deeply married to the images that you almost can't separate them. It stays in your head days later and when you hear it again the emotions return immediately.

One of the greatest films ever made

I've seen The Truman Show multiple times now and it just keeps getting better. Jim Carrey's dramatic range is something rarely matched in cinema. If you haven't watched it yet, clear your evening.

Dated in some ways but still powerful

Some elements of The Truman Show show their age, but the core of it — the simulated reality, Jim Carrey's dramatic range — hasn't diminished at all. Films this good age better than almost anything else.

Watched it blind and was blown away

I went into The Truman Show knowing nothing — no trailer, no plot summary. I strongly recommend that approach. The the simulated reality hits much harder when you haven't been primed for it. Go in cold.
