Some dips but overall a classic
Game of Thrones has a few uneven episodes across its run but the high points are some of the best television ever made. The Rains of Castamere alone is worth the subscription. power and its costs is explored in genuinely surprising ways.

Game of Thrones doesn't let you off the hook. the unpredictable willingness to kill major characters is genuinely uncomfortable in ways few shows dare to be. It respects the audience's intelligence. Hardhome is just astonishing television.

Binge-watched the whole thing in a week
I started Game of Thrones thinking I'd watch an episode or two. Three sleepless nights later I'd finished the entire run. the spectacular production scale is just unmatched. Daenerys Targaryen is one of the great characters in TV history.

Game of Thrones lives up to maybe 80% of the hype. the spectacular production scale is genuinely excellent. The betrayal element is well done. My only complaint is that things drag slightly in the middle. Still four stars.
