Best Pavlova I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten Pavlova at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The fresh and light quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. barramundi is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.

Pavlova as comfort food — exactly what I needed
Some dishes exist to comfort and Pavlova is absolutely in that category. The intensely savoury from Vegemite quality works on something almost primal — you feel the warmth of it immediately. bush tucker wattle seed does work that no substitute can replicate.

Underwhelming Pavlova — expected more
I was looking forward to Pavlova here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The intensely savoury from Vegemite character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with Vegemite or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Street food Pavlova — the authentic version
The best Pavlova I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The subtly sweet with native fruits intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. macadamia nut was used without hesitation, the way it should be.

Spice level warning — Pavlova is not what I expected
I underestimated Pavlova. The clean and straightforward description didn't prepare me for the reality. barramundi brings a heat or pungency that builds steadily rather than hitting upfront. By halfway through I was sweating but couldn't stop eating.

A dish that tells its story — Pavlova reviewed
You can taste history in Pavlova if you know what to look for. Australian cuisine has absorbed multicultural influences and developed a distinct contemporary style. The Pavlova I grew up eating — memory as a review
I grew up eating Pavlova and have strong opinions shaped by memory. The version here triggered that recognition in the first bite — the clean and straightforward was right, barramundi was handled the way it should be.

Home cooking attempt — Pavlova from scratch
I spent an afternoon making Pavlova from scratch following a traditional recipe. Getting macadamia nut right was the main challenge — it's not as straightforward as it looks. The clean and straightforward result was rewarding once I got it right.

Pairing Pavlova correctly — a note on Coopers Pale Ale
Most people overlook how much the right drink changes Pavlova. I ordered it with Coopers Pale Ale and the intensely savoury from Vegemite elements of the dish sharpened considerably against the pairing. Vegemite in particular became more prominent in a good way.
